NWIS Training Inc. is now holding the API 1169 certification prep course at our facility. The course instructor is API 1169 certified with over 30 yrs experience in the pipeline industry. The API 1169 will be a mandatory requirement in the pipeline industry by 2018 for a large part of people working in the pipeline industry.
This is a 4 day course that will provide students with the knowledge necessary to take the API 1169 certification exam. API 1169 course will cover the following information and reference materials:

There are no requirements to take the 1169 prep course but the following requirements are required to take the API 1169 exam.

API has contracted an independent 3rd party to administer the exams. Students wishing to take the exam must go to the API website and fill out and application online to take the exam. The following steps will need to be taken:
After your application is approved you will receive an Exam Authorization email from API, with an Eligibility ID and instructions on how to schedule your exam with Prometric.
It is mandatory that you schedule your exam on the Prometric website. There you will have the ability to:
Schedule your exam location, date and time
Confirm your test appointment details
Reschedule within the same testing window, or cancel a scheduled exam appointment
Contact API immediately if the name on your Exam Authorization email does not match your government-issued ID that you will bring to the exam.
Seating at computer testing centers is limited and is on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, API does not guarantee that you will obtain a seat at a specific location or on a specific day within a testing window. Schedule your exam as soon as possible for the best chance of receiving your preferred location and time.

If you cannot find an available seat at your preferred location, contact the ICP Exam Coordinator.
If you fail to schedule your exam within your assigned testing window, you will need to submit another application in the ICP Portal for a new testing window. Additional fees apply.
